Loading your card
You can load your Ultratravel Currency Card straight from your debit card in three different ways. You can load your card twice in one day - however please be aware you may only load by SMS (text) once.
1. Online
Login to the cardholder account area and then select the ‘Load Card’ option.
2. Over the phone
Call us on 0845 2222 639 (within the UK), or +44 20 7201 0526 (outside the UK).
Lines are open 8.00am to 6.00pm GMT, Monday to Friday and
Saturday to Sunday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
3. By SMS (text)
Before you can use this service, you will need to register your mobile
number and debit card in the cardholder account area on the website.
You should then save the Ultratravel text number as +44 753 740 2025
in your phone.
You are only able to make ONE text load per day. Ultratravel do not levy any charges for this service, however your mobile phone provider may charge you for sending text messages.
The load by SMS function is only available for primary cardholders however secondary cardholders can have their mobile number registered to their secondary card allowing them to use the SMS balance function.
To LOAD your card send an SMS/text to
+44 7537 402 025 in the following format:
LOAD
Last 4 digits of your
Ultratravel Currency Card number
DDMM of your date of birth
If you’re born on the 5th July
you would put 0507
Amount
For example: LOAD 1625 0507 200
(please ensure that there is a space between each section)
N.B. State the amount you wish loaded in the currency of the card, i.e. If you are loading your Europe Traveller Card - we will know you require euros because you have inputted the last 4 digits of your Europe Traveller Card. In the above example you are requesting 200 euros.
To check your card send an SMS/text to
+44 7537 402 025 in the following format:
BALANCE
Last 4 digits of your Ultratravel Currency
Card number
DDMM of your date of birth
i.e. if you’re born on the 5th July you would put 0507
For example: BALANCE 1625 0507
(Please ensure there are spaces between each section.)
